Designing an Effective Drainage Solution

CS Plumbing developed and implemented a gravity-fed French drain system specifically designed to collect and redirect water before it could encroach upon the home’s foundation.

The project encompassed several vital components:

A French drain system carefully engineered to collect both surface and subsurface water from neighbouring properties, directing it through gravity to a concrete pit.
A 100mm PVC pipe leading from the pit to the curb, featuring strategically placed drilled holes in the curb to ensure effective discharge.
Three new, larger-diameter Colorbond metal downpipes replacing the original smaller pipes, linked to new 100mm PVC piping that extends to the curb.
A retaining wall system built along the boundary, using concrete sleepers and galvanised steel posts, with auger holes excavated to create a robust barrier to hold back the adjacent yard.
Efficient on-site soil removal, assisted by a dumper for effective site management.
